1. Who we are

rantotthus.com (the “Service”) is operated by Magic Pulpo Kft., registered at 1122 Budapest, Széll Kálmán tér 15., Hungary. Company registration number 01-09-392254, tax number HU24077849 (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@magicpulpo.com. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

rántotthús is a free browser game: you eat a virtual schnitzel and can submit your result to a public leaderboard under a nickname of your choice. No account or registration is required. The Service is provided for entertainment.

3. Leaderboard and acceptable use

• Nicknames are shown publicly. Do not use names that are offensive, misleading, infringing, or that impersonate another person.
• Do not submit manipulated or automated scores, probe or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access data that is not yours.
• We may remove or amend any leaderboard entry, or block submissions from a device, at our sole discretion and without notice, in particular where we suspect cheating or abusive content.

4. Donations and payment handling

You can support the Service with a voluntary donation (“Buy us a schnitzel”). Donations are:

• denominated in euro (EUR), at the amounts shown or a custom amount you choose;
• entirely voluntary: they are gifts, and you receive no goods, services, or gameplay benefit in return (despite the menu language, no schnitzels are prepared or shipped). Tipping unlocks nothing: the armory is earned by playing, and is not for sale;
• acknowledged only decoratively. We may show a small star beside your name on the leaderboard to mark that you tipped. It is cosmetic recognition and nothing more — it confers no goods, services, features or advantage, does not enter into how any board is ordered, and cannot affect your score or placing. It is remembered by a flag stored in your own browser, which you can clear at any time;
• processed by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). Payment is made on Stripe’s hosted checkout page and is subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details; we receive only confirmation of the payment, the amount, and limited receipt data.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide and that the funds are yours to give. You are responsible for any taxes or fees that may apply to you personally; donations to us are not charitable contributions and are not tax deductible.

5. Refunds

Because donations are voluntary gifts with no product or service delivered in return, they are in principle non-refundable, and any statutory withdrawal right for digital content does not apply to a completed gift. However, we will refund a payment in full, to the original payment method, where:

• the payment was made in error (for example a duplicate charge or an obvious typo in the amount);
• the payment was unauthorised (for example made with your card without your consent); or
• we are required to refund it by applicable law.

To request a refund, email hello@magicpulpo.com within 14 days of the payment, including the approximate date, amount, and the receipt email if you have one. We aim to respond within 5 business days and, where a refund is due, to issue it within 10 business days; the time it takes to reach your account then depends on your bank. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

If you dispute a charge with your bank (a chargeback) instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to block future payments from the associated payment method.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its code, design, name, sounds, and artwork, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it except as permitted by law. Leaderboard nicknames remain yours; by submitting a score you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display the nickname and score publicly as part of the Service.

7. Availability, warranty, and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue it (including the leaderboard) at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you donated to us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, and the courts of Budapest have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
